    Red Sea - October?

We are a South Wales dive club off to the Red Sea on a liveaboard (Whirlwind) on a wrecks and reefs trip on Saturday for a week For some of the group this is their first liveaboard experience. Has anyone been over there recently? Can you let me know what suit you were wearing? What water temp? any bits of advice?

    Cheers, H

Water temp is around 26-27 here at the moment, and the air temp has dropped to around 30-32 during the day.
I'm in a dead 5mm shorty now, but I only do one dive a day. Most people are happy in a 5mm full suit, and I'd take a hood too on safari. Make sure you have warm layers for the evenings!

I feel for you Jim, what an awful life, having to wear a 5mm suit...
