That's me out of action for 6 weeks.

There are four varieties in society: the lovers, the ambitious, observers and fools. The fools are the happiest.

I've been ripped off by Ferber Paints and so have a lot of other people - they've been selling pallets of wood pellets for £200, which is about half what my UK supplier charges. Unfortunately, what eventually turns up after about 6 weeks is a parcel of sacks that you could use to hold a pallet of wood pellets. In the time between everyone ordering and the parcels arriving, they have changed the page on their website so that it could now be read either way and all the fake reviews which mentioned how efficiently they burned have been removed.

I've started a case with Paypal, wish me luck...

Paypal may well side with you - when selling things even when the customer has been an arse, told demonstrable lies etc then PayPal have not sided with me, and the money disappeared from my account.

I see that they don’t appear to accept Paypal anymore - at last I couldn’t see the logo on the website when I looked. Also the details are pretty clear that it is for 40 off 25kg bags of pellets so it should, I hope, be an easy decision for Paypal.

The Orangery at the place where we volunteer hasn't been accessible to us for some time as others were using it, but we regularly heard lots of chuntering about how useless the log burner was. Apparently it was going through wood quite quickly but not providing much warmth.
Yesterday, we were back in there and that's when I found that the door latch was seized and couldn't be closed, the throttle was stuck/wedged open, and the rope door seal was displaced and hanging loose. No wonder it wasn't much good at heating the room. Any heat went straight up the chimney. After a little tlc we lit it and over the several hours we were there it burned slowly through just a few small-ish logs.
    And the Orangery was warm!

Adding insult to injury, the sacks arrived today and they're the thin woven sacks that people put potatoes in so they can breathe.

Interesting to see all the reviews give them one star and yet the headline rating is 2 stars...

It was higher - apparently it's weighted by things like how long the bad reviews go back and how 'trustworthy' the reviewers are - it's supposed to counterbalance malicious reviewers
