Exactly what I would use - the problem with a written calendar is that I forget to check it.

As far from the sea as we could be, except when we can actually get in it.

Which I do, for basic info, and so I've got something to hand when I'm out and about. But, even though I've now upgraded to an S7, I find it easier to keep all the extra detail in the diary.

Each to their own. I have all my appointments in my phone. That way I get a reminder at 0730 the day of the appointment so I do not forget.

I use desk diaries for work

I use my phone for both.

There are a lot of people don't realise that you can set multiple reminders on the phones (one for the start of the day and one at a period before the event such as 30 mins). I am hellish for forgetting things during a day so even if I have a reminder first thing, I would still have another reminder prior to the event (of sufficient duration to allow travel to the meeting, appointment etc).
