You would love the press tool (?) I`ve had in today.

    ~400 from china.
Rough would be something for it to aspire to: No tool clearance, no die stripper clearance, no punch back clearance.
    Picked up after 200 hits.

Die body is black rolled bar, with sawn ends; flash ground top and bottom.
Punch face looks like it was ground with a house brick.

In this country, it would go in a skip; you certainly would not put your name to it: but some buyer has got a stiffie over saving a few hundred quid, while I get to charge him more than they saved to try and sort it out and make it work.

Can you get the thing the bolt (and now the remains of the easyout I assume) is stuck in off whatever it is attached to so you can work on it?

The broken bolt went into a blind hole on a support arm, the linkage attaches to that, There are two other holes drilled completely through that attach the arm to the machine frame. Was able to drill and tap the other side of the arm as original hole went about half way through it and turn the arm around. This happened at 02:00 on a machine we needed running. had it happened at 10:00 this morning it would have gone into the tool room and fixed properly.

Lots of muttered swearing, copious bleeding, another scar to the collection and a warranty replacement part on the Volvo.

Lets just say that Wilkinson would have been proud of the edge on the stainless trim panel.
Warranty claim was for a plastic replacement panel so that I could maintain the ability to count in denary.
