Unless I got a letter due to a cloned or misread number plate, TFL must be wasting a fortune sending mail shots to everyone with a non compliant car in the country.
We had the same letter - Milton Keynes (50 miles north?) and regarding a car which, so far as we know, has never been into Central London (It's a 14 plate, and we bought it in 2017, so it's conceivable previous owners took it into the City but that raises GDPR questions as much as anything)

    Another roaring success in privatisation.

No, but they do deliver masses of un-addresses junk mail despite me opting out of this "service." I suppose they cannot resist the income.
I just save it up until I have a bin bag full then fill up the nearest post box. It is not my mail so I do not have the right to destroy it and only think it is fair to return it to the rightful owner via the company that delivered it in the first place.

Bloody couriers! DPD were supposed to deliver half a dozen OD packs from BSAC shop on Friday. Got an e-mail to say that I wasn't in when they called. I didn't know that they employed the invisbible man since he didn't appear on our video doorbell when he supposedly called. Incidentally we were in all day.

Now supposed to be delivered on Tuesday.

My front door was open yesterday and I heard a noise. Went to the door and found a parcel on the step. They did not knock, ring the bell or call out. And the parcel was for next door.

I opted out of it too and it's made not the slightest difference. I assume they just can't be bothered to implement a system to keep the posties in the loop. If I were a postman, with the extended walks they have today, I wouldn't want to be checking who's on which opt out list.

In defence of DPD: I find it to be far and away the best courier service. The only hassle I've had was sending a Makroskop to Holland (when we were in the EU). It took about a week to arrive and I'd paid for a 48 hour service.
Happy to be a woke* feminist SJ(K)W snowflake in a godless universe, no matter what some experts think. And Braun was a twat who's not missed. At all.
