I have a lovely chipped tooth at the front that is perfect for that . The chip happened when my wire strippers slipped many years ago when LSF cable was first introduced properly ... the irony is not lost

But all you have to do is lick your fingers first. For the physics minded, there is not a lot of heat in a hot melted bit of plastic, it takes quite a lot of heat to vaporise spit, therefore the heat is lost as latent heat and the effect on skin minimised. Just Saying!

All I have to do is wait another 10 seconds for it to cool but do I?

When it is hot how can mould it to the desired shape - more difficult when colder.

I bet you are just as boring with "Wet paint" signs.

What is the statute of limitations on embarrassing moments?

I have realised that the thing that I said that still makes me cringe the most is now over 50 years ago.
The other party probably forgot about it decades ago.
    Probably within weeks...
I ought to be off the hook by now.
    I'm not.
    It's just not fair.
    Helium, because I'm worth it.
Waterboarding at Guantanamo Bay sounded like a radical holiday opportunity until I looked it up.

As far from the sea as we could be, except when we can actually get in it.

There isn't one. They forget about it, you forget about it, then, for no apparent reason, your brain flips it to the front.
