    Blxxdy ekectronics/ computer engineers!
Shouldn't be allowed out in the real world!
My sister in law, who is one, was tasked with doing a bit of garden watering for my incapacitated MIL.
She reported that there was something wtong with the hose, and went out and spent MIL's money, on a very expensive, expanding hose set up.
All I could find wrong with the hose was a leaky coupling, which took two seconds to tighten.

That's not a real engineer. Real engineers fix things over and over before having to replace them (assuming they don't break them permanently by trying to improve them )

My mantra: If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Happy to be a woke* feminist SJ(K)W snowflake in a godless universe, no matter what some experts think. And Braun was a twat who's not missed. At all.

    * Had to add woke; couldn't resist.

    Same here. Rebuild, restore, recycle.

While we're on this subject, a friend who used to work in the NHS, messaged yesterday about their fridge not cooling properly in the hot weather.
They noticed that it wasn't as cold inside as it should be (well, it was 38 here yesterday) so turned it down to minimum just until the heatwave is over ..........

As it wasn't getting cooler they thought it might be broken

I spent 4 hours trying to sort a leaking JJ oring on Fri due to just such an approach.

I was not a happy bunny.

I did learn that even if you take something apart 30 times, if you keep putting it together the same (wrong) way it will always be wrong

Yesterday afternoon we had a power cut which was finally fixed at about 9.30pm. When the power came back on so did the central heating FFS despite it having been switched off!! Fortunately I realised before the radiators got hot. Just what one needs during a heat wave!!!

    Peace at last.
The idiots who opened their windows, then set the house alarm and left for the day are home.
