If God had meant us to breathe underwater, he would have given us larger bank balances.
Human beings were invented by water as a means of moving itself from one place to another.

Don't you know nothing? The money is left in a paper bag, behind the third cistern on the left, in the public toilet at Dunwich.

But as with so many things at present there's a bit of a backlog!

Petrol crisis is over, in Wales, at least. We only filled up once during our 5 days, no queuing and most of the petrol stations we passed subsequently seemed to be operating normally.
There is, however, a dearth of dragons.
We bought a nice resin dragon statue a couple of years back that holds a wine bottle in it's paws as if its trying to bite the cork off. We call him Merlot.
Anyway, we were told they've not been able to get them this year, 'shortages, you know'

To be honest, other than a few stations milking it by jacking up the prices ( many have resisted the temptation and kept at normal price) I haven’t seen any other impact here. No big queues and no closures.

Or maybe folk here take a more pragmatic view and weren’t duped into panic buying….

People who receive post not intended for them and just sit on it.
It's unfortunate that we live on the old Burton Road as it's a long road and has been chopped up into several bits, East, West etc. If post is mis-delivered it can be difficult to track down as it may have gone through one of two DOs, one very local, the other not so.
Most people are pretty good at redirecting incorrect post, usually delivering it themselves. One barsteward and his family will just sit on it, sometimes even opening it, especially if it's a parcel. Only when the postman returns to them to retrieve the post do they hand it over.

I understand that it is illegal to open post that is not yours and clearly labelled with another persons name on it.

Also, people who move out but don't have their mail redirected, causing me to have to return it to sender.

I've just registered them with MPS to try and reduce it.
Proud to be a boring health and softy crap following sissie!

First house, I was still receiving post for the previous owners ~ 5years after they moved out. No forwarding address on the christmas cards.
Current gaff, I stopped forwarding the post after a couple of months, coincidentally shortly after finding several things that had been "forgotten" to be mentioned in the sale; like the sewer pump and receptor tank between us and the drains.
