Just like the boat you have now except you don’t have to stick with the rudder position you started with. Same with sails, they can be altered mid trip - posh eh?

We did a weekend course for dinghies - brilliant fun. I suspect that bigger boats are even more fun - there are plenty of training places available but I like the idea of the two week intensive that they call sailing holidays in Greek islands - get the first sailing ticket and learn the rest on somebody else’s boat. What could go wrong?

Nearly all of mine are radio controlled, so I've been able to fiddle with the rudders and sails anyway, but f/s is generally a bit different. The largest I've got is 50" long with adjustable foresails, mainsail and mizzen, plus the rudder control.

Growing old is compulsory, growing up isn't.

Simple answer. Fit radio control systems to the full size yacht and away you go.

I have suspected for a couple of years that we had a breeding pair of Green woodpeckers in the garden. Normally they do not come near the house but there was a pair ant hunting on the lawn closest. Suddenly there was a third, a fledged youngster which was promptly fed by the adults. Amazing sight as they are so shy and easily frightened away.
