I'm looking at TDF for the first time in about 3 or 4 months. When it was YD I was on about 20 times a day!!

I recently invested in a heated "throw" which is toasty to sit under watching TV or reading a book.

Your postings seemed to drop off when you got married.

    Every day's a school day.
I never realised piano smashing was actually a thing , well, used to be.
Even to a non player like me it just seems wrong, but I can see now that in the 50s and 60s it would have been popular.
The things you learn when you dig up a victorian iron piano frame.

I can remember doing that once in the 70's. It was a charity day and all sorts of things happened.

Once tv arrived the upright in the front parlour became surplus to requirements, and the introduction of central heating was not kind to any wood framed instruments.

That's right. People were glad to be rid of them.
We had two teams (saloon and public bar) and raced to see who could pass all the bits of the piano through a suspended car tyre first.
Health and safety? Don't make me laugh! Bits of wood and wires under tension coupled with sledge hammers and copious amounts of alcohol.

Cleaning kitchen cupboards today. Still trying to persuade the Boss to remove a few items from the cupboards. Rock n roll lifestyle.
We looked into buying a new kitchen, eyewatering expense. We have the dosh, but we both were of the opinion
    a) kitchen can last a bit longer
    b) that is a whole lot of knitting yarn / dry suit and video kit we can buy instead.
