Misanthropy, haphephobia, genophobia, philophobia, alexithymia or xenophobia? Or a touch of all six?

As far from the sea as we could be, except when we can actually get in it.

A bit early to be playing with the chainsaw but a really big branch of a Horse Chestnut came down at the Country house/auction centre where I've been volunteering recently so it had to be chopped up. I get a free hand to do what I want here so I cut some material to make habitat piles, a load of various sized tree cookies (up to stepping stone sized), shaped branches for a 'stumpery/fernery', logs for the wood burner and some stump seats for the woodland. My kind of day.

Phone rings (ex directory business line used to host web-server and mail-server and occasionally used by my brother if I'm not answering the mobile)

Nigel: Crawley Sewage. How can I help you? (most people apologise and go away at this point)

Caller: I am an energy advisor.... loft insulation...

Nigel: I think you have a wrong number

Caller: <carries on regardless> ... your postcode has come up on our database as ....

Nigel: Do you even know my postcode?

    Caller: <pause> <must be brighter than most!> Thank you <hangs up>

How do I set up a redirect to Divemouse? Does she charge for servicing them?
    Helium, because I'm worth it.
Waterboarding at Guantanamo Bay sounded like a radical holiday opportunity until I looked it up.

Those that know, don`t need the re-write.
Those that do need the re-write, probably won`t live long enough to stop laughing and see it.

So the day started out well

    Sun shining, no rain

Walk on the NY moors with mrs John & dog with a planned lunchtime stop at village pub

1 hr out from pub, turned ankle and heard an ominous crack. Checked, no phone signal.

    Ankle swelling.

    Hobbled to village.

Still no phone signal and pub closed for renovation FFS.

Lady in house let us use her landline. Got lift home.

    Left dog.

    Spent late afternoon in A&E

X-ray shows cracked tibia close to ankle. Leg now in equaliser boot.

Well, no more walks for a while.
