Today on the boat, I fell asleep after the 1st dive and missed the 2nd dive

    Have I officially become old?

This weekend, someone accused me of getting lost on a dive!

I calmly explained "you have to have a dive plan in order to deviate from the plan in order to be lost. I went in to wander around for about an hour, I wandered around for 65mins and surfaced. I call that sticking to my plan".

It wasnt my fault that the boat was on the other side of the headland

Some members are not only producing and encouraging Thread drift, (which is fair enough and often interesting) but also moving the topic around different threads, now that does require skill to Keep Up!

You had a time of arrival which you kept to and no destination , therefore you could not be lost! Merely perhaps a little "Misplaced?"

Our skipper at the weekend said that if you come off the wreck (either wreck or the rope between them), launch a dsmb so he can keep track. if yours didn't ask for that, how can they say you were lost.
The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.

I would ALWAYS bag off. I was where I wanted to be. Not my fault I missed the "dont go through the cut to the other side of the island" part of the brief
