I really must stop making that Chocolate Brownie recipe my daughter gave me.
They are so good I just tend to eat the whole day's calorie allowance and not leave spare for actual nutrition.

Waterboarding at Guantanamo Bay sounded like a radical holiday opportunity until I looked it up.

I have just turned the central heating back on as it was 15º in the house and despite putting a jacket over thermals and a fleece I was still cold...............

    Not just me then.
I confess I had to remind myself that just because it's June wearing a second woolly is quite OK.

I never turn the heating off. I have a thermostat to do that for me.

I wasn't sure whether to put this here or in "things I hate"

I just had my regs serviced. Being a bit tight and because one of the 1st stages is virtually brand new, I sent it in as a single 1st with two 2nd stages.

Just put it all back to how it should be for the twinset and found that one of the regs hisses if I try to breathe it when turned off. That shouldn't happen unless there's a leak.

I just spent 30 minutes checking the diaphragm and exhaust valve, swapped the diaphragm with the other reg, can't see any problems. Then I realise the hissing noise is coming from the wing inflate hose (the only one that I didn't send for service).

I swapped the schraeder valve and it works perfectly now.

The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.

Never get a rebreather then. I seem to spend almost as much time chasing hisses around the millions of o-rings as I spend in the water

    Not a problem I have.

Topic revisited as not all of us boast memories going back beyond earlier the same day, let alone a week!
