The ones I hate (wrong thread of course) are the home printed heat sealed in plastic tied on around footpaths with cable ties for whatever purpose. Amateur or Professional. Do these people come and collect their plastic rubbish when their cat/dog/child has come home or catching covid from a style has been debunked? No of course not they litter the countryside!

Roadside "shrines" come into the same category IMO.
Nothing says "I miss you" like a faded cap, a rotten scarf, some dried stalks and a plastic bag tied to a tree.

Today I cut the moss for the first time this year. there were a few blades of grass amongst it but it was mainly moss. The good things about moss is that is looks like grass from a distance and it grows more slowly.

We are having our first BBQ of the year tonight. BBQ ready, homemade burgers ready, coat and hat ready - all systems go. It has been an exceptional sunny weekend for February so even if it is a bit nippy outside we are going to enjoy the BBQ, OH has beer I have wine what is not to like. (Will however eat indoors!!)

I was stuck on the M6 last night for 6 hours, tins of fruit were cooking off like live rounds. I wasnt happy, a trip to Kent to pick up a twinset took 16 hours

My local kids' playground has a sign on each of the three gates into it saying "No horses allowed in this playground". This is in an urban area at least 1/4 mile away from a public bridleway. I'm curious what event hapenned in the past that has made the council put these signs up (they don't have the same signs on other playgrounds in town).

It turns out that before my estate was built in the 1970s, that kids' playground was on the edge of the developed area, with open country on the other side, so horses did occasionally go through the playground.
