I was surprised to see just how many awards are dished out as part of the New Years Honours List.

Do you tend to meet people that have won the award as part of daily life or are these strictly reserved for the clique?

Must be a few TDFers with one?

Not me but I have met some. Two were nurses who deserved recognition one is a pharmacist friend. I think it a very reasonably managed exercise.

I am sitting at work suffering from Bronchitis the office where I am partly based is 14degrees C but the fancy heating/AC system is refusing to heat. I think I will go and hide elsewhere!! There are only 2 of us in the building me and my senior colleague and no work to do. I am hoping my senior colleague decides to go home early so I can skive off.................

Will bring a fan heater into work tomorrow!!

You didn't set fire to an ornamental candle did you?!
The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.
