Has anybody been out on their hard boat, Seaquest, which operates out of Pwllheli? I would be interested to hear your experiences.
Thanks,
Dave

Forget it, they cancelled this weekend’s diving and don’t want to return the deposit.
Had similar with their Vivian op we didn't do all the dives arranged and no refund offered.

If Duttons Divers is required to cancel a booking for any reason it will use reasonable endeavours to provide
a suitable alternative booking date for the customer. Duttons Divers liability in this instance shall be limited to
the cost of the booking and in the event a suitable alternative booking date cannot be agreed it shall refund
the cost of the booking to the customer.
Consumer legislation requires the operator of an event to provide a full refund and possibly compensation, before suggesting alternate arrangements,
Their T&Cs would fall foul of fair terms in contracts, if taken o court. Consumer Rights Act 2015, Schedule 2 "Consumer contract terms which may be regarded as unfair", Part 1, Clause 4 "A term which has the object or effect of permitting the trader to retain sums paid by the consumer where the consumer decides not to conclude or perform the contract, without providing for the consumer to receive compensation of an equivalent amount from the trader where the trader is the party cancelling the contract."

Totally, especially as Dorry was just down the road for free. I only ever used Vivian for air, the couple that used to run it were great. I was meaning the boat trips the new people were offering when they took over the shop from them. I can't remember how much they were charging, it was like £60+ for a dip in Menai or something like that and the whole thing was a bit vague as to what you were getting, where you were going, how many dives. Never filled me with confidence. I was just looking on their website, seems Vivian and the shop are only open when they're running courses now.
