And the merkin cops went all merkin on them - the video of the ranger ploughing through the protestors is available and is not comfortable viewing
"One officer told the protesters to disband within 30 seconds or risk arrest, commanding them to “get off the fucking road”. In those 30 seconds, a second ranger plowed through the blockade, his vehicle smashing the trailer and protest signs as activists still chained to it narrowly missed getting hit. “We’re non-violent, we have no weapons at all, we’re environmental protesters,” shouted Collins, as the officer pulled out what appeared to be a firearm and aimed it at the activists after threatening: “I am going to take all of you out."

I did like how they arrested and drove through the climate protestors who were blocking the road into burning man, now they’re being told to conserve food and water while the climate catastrophe rages around them… karma much 🤷😂
It’s like some microcosm of what’s coming

It really is a little microcosm of the real world. A hundred thousand very affluent people travelling to a place they don't need to be to consume resources they don't need to consume, pretending that a holiday is some great achievement and that they are saving the planet while everything falls apart around them. And then realising they have neither the resources or ability to cope when the world turns to shit and they realise they've left every bit of their survival to someone else. It's the West distilled into a cringey festival. If someone hadn't died I would have absolutely zero sympathy for their "plight".
Doesn't look like the tech bros are doing a great job of "adapting". Need to up their microdosing and do a bit more Wim Hof breathing maybe.

A lot of the people that go to Burning Man aren't "tech bros" and are are artists, engineers and counter culture people (these are the original people that attended Burning Man before the tech bros started attending and making it about spending lots of money to do it in some level of luxury etc.
When did you last rock up? 😃
