Any drawings or photos of Diver Lifts?

If anyone has any drawings or photos of diver lifts I would appreciate it if they can post them here - they aren't found on the boats back where I am originally from, and very rare here in Egypt. Am mainly looking for drawings or photos of the "slide arrangement" and how the slide is held captive within the rail.

Usually made from aluminium channel, back to back, with the inner rails on solid HDPE wheels with bushes. If you have hydraulics on board a hydraulic winch works well, if not a 12V winch in a housing (which you will need to change out occasionally as they pack up in salt water) is the go-to solution. Platform usually folds up for travel.

Send me a drawing of your boat and I'll quote you to design something if you like, that you can get fabricated locally. In the UK they have to be tested, worth looking into what you need in Egypt.

Most of the ones I have seen have been hot dip galvanized steel sections rather than aly - I suspect the availability of galvanizing for such big pieces may be an issue for you, we had big problems getting boat trailers dipped and in teh end went for a "meccano" option

Mine's made by Len Hurdiss as are most of the ones I have come across and its aluminium.

If you follow MV Huskyan on Instagram, there are quite a few photos/videos including their diver lift (which is wide enough to use with 2 stages, etc)
I think it's made of Stainless Steel.

If you are the same guy who posted about a fast day boat, you defo don't want a steel lift, too heavy.

Re electric or hydraulic.
The only time I have had electric lift motors pack up is because they are knackered, 5/6 years old. Usually when I decide to go diving.
The lift needs a dedicated battery as near as possible to the lift.
Note: in the UK climate wet/acid batteries last up to 16 years if you have a quality battery management system.
Probably need to keep a good check on fluid levels operating in the Red Sea.
Positioning of the lift needs to be within the profile of the hull, stern. I’m not a fan of hull side mounted lifts, as too much drag and stress on the fixings. If a catamaran, the lift needs to be over one of the hulls, not in the middle, unless you are spanning the 2 hulls.
You need to think about all the systems on the boat, compressors, lift, capstan, thrusters, re electric or hydraulic and weight.
