    Cressi Leonardo - PLAN menu

I've just bought my first computer, a Cressi Leonardo (I had been hiring computers at the dive centres so far), as I found it new for slighly over £100, which was a good bargain. But there's something about it I don't understand: the PLAN menu. It's supposed to be used to plan my dive, but as I understand it, all I can do with it is telling the computer what the maximum depth will be, and it tells me how long I can spend down there without getting into deco (time which will later on be adjusted by the computer, as I won't spend the whole dive at the maximum depth). Is that so, or is there anything else I should be doing with that menu? It looks a bit simple, as I already know those times according to the dive tables, since my dives have always been more or less the same depth so far and anyway I run out of air before reaching them, but maybe that's all there is to that menu.

    Thanks!

Thats your lot - its a fairly basic computer but because it is "live" the plan function is quite helpful for working out your second dive in real time (as in I finished my last dive an hour ago, the reef is at 20m if I go in now what's my max no deco time and is it worth going in) and it uses your actual profile on the first dive so its more accurate and generally longer than using tables but not much more than that.

£100 is a good price - where was that from? We have loads of new divers who are looking for gear at the moment

We've got some stuff we're looking to sell on to raise some funds for the charity:

Thanks a lot. I hadn't thought of that. It's more useful than I though. And yes, it's a basic computer, but more than enough for my needs. I'll probably be using it for years, and if I ever found it's become too basic for me... Well, though unlikely, that'll be good news.

In a shop in Madrid I happened to see and walk into. Their website says they cost £99 now, but sending them to the UK would make it less of a bargain (especially now that customs must be added to postage).

I'm not looking for anything myself right now, but I'll make sure to pass this info on to friends who might be interested.
