If my post doesnt have a typo, then I have probably been hacked!
You're probably looking around £80-100 for the parts anyway plus if you find a UK dealer that sells them you're probably going to get hosed for fitting as well. A brand new XTX40 is only £130. I hate to sound harsh but nobody is going to be able to magic up the parts if they aren't available and your options are either wait and not dive or replace the whole thing. The T40 Paulo links to is a great regulator, it's not much different from more modern regs. I still use a T40 as my primary. Or just buy a new one.
Presumably you had travel insurance for the trip? Claim a replacement on that.

This won't be easy needing both the box top and box bottom, few UK dive shops would hold this as stock items as its a rare but not unknown requirement
Best you can get from a UK LDS is a 1st and 2nd standard service kit, and a mouthpiece even from the premier dealers
Then as you don't know any friendly LDS that could supply you the parts at "mates rates" my guess is the cost to an "outsider" will be approaching buying a complete 2nd stage
or octopus if you are happy with the colour.
Sadly spares are not that freely available anymore but not for the reasons given earlier.
Most UK dive shops owe so much money to Apeks Marine and what with a number of them going under owing upward of fifty grand each
any wonder the LDS cannot get any more credit out of Apeks before they start paying off what they owe already.
The LDS don't of course tell you that they can't get anymore spares because they haven't paid for the last batch, the LDS preferring to blame Aqualung who incidentally
(who it is rumoured ) have had enough of ex UK sales managers and the like allowing shops to close down owing tens of thousands then making the wife of the original shop owner a premier dealer from the get go with the newly formed pop up. Head office is presently cleaning up and clearing the decks on behalf of the shareholders. I'm sorry for you inconvenience.

Found one of the parts in Larnaca. Bit of a trek from Essex![]()
