    Question Bubble test next Thurs!

Just received my bubble test date for possible PFO next Thurs - Rob is in Wales and I can swap customers round to leave enough time to drive to the hospital and back. I get the impression that, other than a cannula in your arm, there's nothing that should leave you woozy or confused?

Nope. Think of Araldite 2 part adhesive in a double syringe

I don't recall any I'll effects after mine other than the sobering realisation of how badly things could have gone over years of not knowing.

Nope - nothing to worry about - and good luck!

(The Nurse who did my bubble test at Paddington said "I can't tell you the result, Dr Malik will do that" - I responded "You don't play poker, do you?")

No should not be and I would hope they would have told you if you needed accompanying.

The bubble echocardiogram is done with a Trans Thoracic Echocardiogram (TTE) which it through the chest (a little bit of digging in the ribs, but nothing painful), so nothing in the way of medication to leave you woozy or confused. I drove home straight after mine.

There was a bit of mental shock at the diagnosis (even though in a prior consultation, my cardiologist had said it was likely that I had a PFO (especially when I realised that I get migrain aura - even though I didn't realise that's what it was), I must have still been in a bit of denial and sort of expecting/hoping that the test would be negative)

I hope it all goes well for you.
Proud to be a boring health and softy crap following sissie!
