Paint stripper for cylinders

Since my first pish of the day is now stronger than the new recipe of Nitromors, are there any retail paint strippers worth buying for removing paint from cylinders? Or do I need to go down the "trade" route? It's not for factory paint, it's for a set that had previously been stripped and sprayed/lacquered with automotive-type paint.

The active part of paint stripper was/is carcinogenic. It was banned a while back and you now will find DIY paint stripper is much of a muchness. The more effective stuff is Hazmat and even if you can get hold of it the carriage is prohibitive and you need all the permits to move it and dispose of it.

Our product is good but takes 24hrs or so and needs to be in the warm. Like all water based products it can cause rusting with ferrous substrate. I'm jacking it in after this lot has gone. PM me if you want some.

That's what I thought with the retail stuff. Ta for the offer but sounds a lot of effort. I think it's wire brush and Scotchbrite.

Yeah, looks like elbow grease is going to be the best option.

Surely by the time you flake off all the rust there will not be much paint left on your balls?

I have used OB1 paint stripper on an AL80 with really good results, it comes in a spray can and maybe used 1/2 a can to get all the paint off. like good old bad for you stripper it bubbled the paint in a few minutes and then just scraped it off.
