    Question Post bend diving advice?

I had a vestibular bend at the start of October, most probably due to a pfo. I won't find out for quite some time, but would like to start diving again in a low risk manner. So far I'm thinking of no more than 10m deep on a rich nitrox mix and diving in a wetsuit with a 7l cylinder to keep weight down and stop me sneaking off into deeper water once I'm out of sight. Rob is keen for me to sit around on the beach for half an hour before climbing back up the cliff, but I think I'd get very cold. Any other suggestions please?

Not the sexiest of beach wear, but light to carry.

That's a surprisingly good idea - I could take it on the dive!

As I understand it, 20-30mins post dive is the peak time for bubbles

So does that make sitting around good or bad? Sounds bad to me!

Based on my limited knowledge, I would suspect bad. A friend got a bend last year which he attributes to the exertion assisting retrieve the shot post dive

Supposedly bad, do any post dive exercise straight after the dive, ideally first two minutes, if you are going to sit around resting then you need to do it for 90 to 120 minutes.. Have a look in Mark Powell's book deco for divers for the explanation/graphic but TBH it wasn't based on a long, large sample experiment.

When you have a dive planned, post on here and some of will come around, post dive, and give you a big group hug to keep you warm. I know that is the sort of thing you like.
