So the glass over the hob on our 'new' (more than 12 years old) electric oven has cracked across one corner, going right over the front left ring. I decided it was prudent to stop using that one in case I spilled liquids through it which seemed like it would be a bad thing, but is it still safe to continue using the other 3 rings? Is the glass likely to explode outwards and hack me to pieces? Is electrocution more or less likely than the electric shower which has suddenly developed a leak from its main body? A replacement panel looks to be about £100 and it's not clear how you'd get it to pieces anyway.
