pfo surgery to become a routine NHS operation

The gods are now smiling upon me, having sent a bend, a road accident, a breakdown and failed handbrake on a hill above expensive parked cars last week

The article is dated July 2019. Will it survive the latest efforts to privatise the NHS?

Also, and I have not read it all so I may be wrong, it says in the title "Young people." .....................

Whether you can get it on the NHS (and more importantly when) will probably depend on the size and deemed likelihood of shunting of clots from R to left side of heart, if it is big enough to be a serious risk of stroke then probably it would be done. After all neurological DCI is a form of embolic stroke, it's just that it gets better with recompression unlike an embolic clot. Have you had the contrast Echo cardiogram yet? (bubble check)
Evolution is great at solving problems. It's the methods that concern me.

Thanks! No, just looking into getting that - normally a long wait, but somebody at Norwich has offered a test within a couple of months, or I could get it done privately, though you then have to get it done again on the NHS before you can go ahead, so that would really just be for my direct benefit.

West coast lochs - so Fyne, Creran, Duich and Carron before the bend, then Rob did Carron, Duich, Linnhe, Creran, Sunart and Fyne on the way down.

Did Rob have to drive from there to Aberdeen to collect you before going back to Loch Carron?? That is quite a hike but with a camper van at least one can stop and have a brew when you want!!

He had to chase the ambulance from Carron to Inverness (he saw me go into the helicopter halfway there), then on to Aberdeen. He then had hen parties at either end of the Cairngorm park on Saturday (during which the bus left suddenly while he was unloading stuff, luckily he runs fast), then drove back to Aberdeen in time to get a new soldering iron at Lidl and collect me before driving back to Carron because we'd left 5 cylinders for filling!
