Drive to Gills Bay up - its a drag but can be done in one hit.
Overnight ferry with cabin from Kirkwall to Aberdeen on the way home.

Leave East Sussex takes me 8 to 9 hours to Broxden Interchange at Perth . 4 hours to Scrabster or Gills bay . Return journey I normally get the last ferry Friday afternoon which means I get to Perth about 10pm straight into Travel Lodge, I’m an early bird so normally away again about 5am which gets me home in 8 hours on the Saturday . Aberdeen to home is 10 hours straight through but I only use Aberdeen for Shetland .
I trust my rebreather implicitly I just don't trust the owner

    Onwards & downwards.
