Itís also being touted on the GB news sites.
Itís the thin edge of the wedge to start the banning of halal/kosher meat.

I like the statement in Metro: "The practice of killing lobsters while alive is already illegal in Switzerland, Norway and New Zealand."

Is it possible to kill something that's not alive?

When my GP put me on a very low fat diet some years ago to try and reduce my high cholesterol (it didn't work - it runs in the family), he did a review with me and asked if I was sticking to it. I said yes, which I was, apart from my lobster recipe (he knows I'm a diver) which was an egg yolk and double cream sauce. He looked at me sternly and then said 'Lobster Newburg, delicious isn't it' and grinned. He's an excellent GP but I'm concerned that having qualified in 1984, he might be considering retirement soon which would be a great loss.

Egg yolk and cream, is`nt that just a "Liason"; classic French thickening of a sauce?

There was a right wing nut job ran a shop called "Rucksack and Rifle" in Wrexham in the mid eighties; He advertised stun guns for sale, when they were barely legal in the UK, and the police raided the shop and turned it over top to bottom to remove them (they found none).
Now the police kill people with them.
