    NDAC bearing

    Morning,

    Keen to practice some nav work, does anyone have bearings of ndac?

    Id like to plan a route involving single decker, double decker, wessex, BAE etc etc

    Thanks

    I don't have bearings i just know the way, it's an easy route to do. Why not try and do one dive and work out what the bearing should be and then on your second dive see if you can follow it.

    I'm there on the 24th so i can maybe jot something down then, they won't be exact but they'll be sort of right.

    I have bearings for the shallows but not the 20m section. However itís fairly easy to nav by pilotage.

    You can down load a map from NDAC site it shows north . You can work out what you need from that .

    I take no responsibility as I copied and pasted from another forum however:

    Kicks are approx. Numbers correspond to NDAC's own map

    Training Platform (2) -> Training Platform (4) - 50 degrees / 10 kicks
    Cruiser (3) -> Training Platform (4) - 170 degrees / 10 kicks
    Training Platform (4) -> Plane (5) - 30 degrees / 8 kicks
    Plane (5) -> Truck (8) - 100 degrees / 5 kicks
    Truck (8) -> Helicopter - 200 degrees / 14 kicks (This will take you via (7))
    Back to road - 270 degrees (then follow road back to pontoon)

    For interests sake, there is a pretty smart 3d model here :

    Give it chance to load, it's massive

    NDAC is very deep at the moment. The platform to the pontoons is nearly horizontal.
