Brett sold it a couple of years ago
I have nothing to do with BSAC any more apart from being a muggle member. So anything I write on here is likely to be complete bollocks. Hooray!

Brett sold it. New owners ran it into the ground as far as I can tell. They moved to a new shop not far away. DiveLife is now back open again. Probably not all that recognisable from what you remember.

I would have a scout around locally. There are a few shops that I've used round that way.

Brett sold it, new owners "went bust" but set up another shop nearby.

Then Oli set up a new shop also called DiveLife (nothing to do with the previous owners)
The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.

If you're in the Ribble Valley, maybe try Canary Divers in Rishton

The new owners went pop (planned restructuring?) and quickly reopened in a new shop around the corner but the original shop has subsequently reopened under different ownership in the original site (park round the back etc.) - confused? Me??? However I have not used either since the first collapse so can't speak from experience.

Oh yeah it was really strange how a load of the decent gear never turned up at the bankruptcy auction but then really similar looking stuff popped up in the new shop round the corner

There was a bankruptcy auction. I got a few bits. Some of the auction lots turned up on buy and sell sites months and years later.

    Brett sold DiveLife to John
John went bust (mainly because the shop was too big for the stock being sold)
DiveLive UK is now in the same spot but only half the shop is there. I've been in a couple of times but they didn't do decent gases and it was all a bit sterile for me.

John's wife Anne opened Dive Manchester down the road. I use it quite regularly. It's all a bit chaotic but they have good gases and I like John and Anne. Parking is limited.

Canary Divers is in Rishton. Chris runs it and he's ok. I occasionally pop in. Gas is good but can be limited on occasion.
