February Non Diving Photo Comp "In the Garden"

Given the shit weather in the UK at the moment I thought I'd offer a subject close to home and with wide scope.
So this month's subject is "In the Garden" it can be anything from a wide shot of your garden, to a bee on a leaf or anywhere in between

A couple of examples of the residents in our garden

    Paul.
If God had meant us to breathe underwater, he would have given us larger bank balances.
Human beings were invented by water as a means of moving itself from one place to another.

A conch is a sea snail so you are both right and we love it too. We bought it at a house clearance

The garden visitor that started us on motion detector cameras to monitor hedgehogs.

You are so lucky, I keep meaning to go and find some Maltese ones, the ones I have seen are all much paler than the British version

Tim, is that recent? He/she should be hibernating by now.

No in the summer he was small at the time and needed to grow to hibernate successfully. At one stage we had three around on the motion cam at night and some pre mating aggression!
Didn't know you got them on Malta Pete I guess they get run over with you as well sadly. We presume the y all started to hibernate in October as we stopped seeing them on the camera nightly.

Yes too many squished hog pancakes during the summer but on walks over the garigue (wilderness) it's common to find their middens of snail shells.
