    Film Review 2021

    I'll kick this off.

    Wonder Woman 1984...

    ...Blunder Woman 198Poor more like.

If even Gal Gadot's thighs can't save a film you just know it's bloody awful.

I have also decided that I don't like Pedro Pascal. He's getting a lot of praise for saving the Star Wars Universe for The Mandalorian but without his helmet on he just didn't seem right for the character.

I think it was mainly that piddly little moustache.

Piece's of a Woman. Forced to watch this by SHMBO. What an awful load of crap. Dialogue difficult to hear (thank god), plot so slow and weak it would send you to sleep. All in all 0 out of ten

Wolfwalker - another in the series that started with Secret of Kells. Really lovely animation, but the story employed too much 'wanky mock peril' to keep itself moving along. 6/10

    The Hippopotamus.

A lovely British ensemble cast. Funny, well written (Stephen Fry), well acted.

    Lovely film.

Is this available on any of the main streaming services, I read the book years ago and enjoyed it?

What an awful film. If it hadn’t been for Gal Gadot in her skimpy Wonder Woman costume I wouldn’t have been able to watch until the end

Even then needed a few glasses of red to endure the full depths of naffness

    The Dig.

Netflix film about the finding of the Sutton Hoo Treasure. A thoroughly nice film.

We loved The Dig too, also loved Queen's Gambit, one of the best TV shows ever. Who knew that chess could be sexy?
Jury is still out on "Summer of Rockets"
Bridgerton; I thought it was a pile of bollox, the Mrs loved it.
Diving, and photography holidays in Gozo
Private guiding, don't follow the crowd.
