Facebook tracks everyone, you don’t need an account. Those little ‘share on FB’ icons etc link device identification, iP addresses etc. They may not know your name but they have an entry for you and which of the sites that they have a third party presence on you have been to. You will find a typical site has hundreds of such third party agents tracking you.

For extreme blocking try UMatrix. Staggering levels of control over content, but with high demands for tweaking and breaks most "modern" sites that are heavy with Javascript (which is now the most dangerous part of your web browser).
Just ask BA who've been fined £20m for a Javascript breach, or Ticketmaster who've just had a £1.8m bill for essentially the same hack.
