Trump has lost the election but will not admit it.

Potentially very very scary times this could go very horribly wrong.

Could this lead to another localised Civil War in US???

And will it spill out over to the rest of the world like the <insert_colour_here> Lives Matter.

We'll soon find out how stupid they really are.

I'd like to be a fly on the wall in the Pentagon at high level meetings to discuss, "what if". They must have held them senior US generals are not fools.

Apparently senior figures have been war-gaming the possibility of Trump refusing to leave the White House for some months. It had been expected to happen if he lost.

I wonder if this is why he has replaced the civilians there with loyalists

I doubt it FWIW. I have spoken with some American friends on this subject and they're of the opinion that it's all talk, no trousers. Yes, they've got the wannabe hard men in their tacticool gear (aka gravy SEALs, Meal Team 5 etc) but the vast majority of Trump voters either already accept he lost or will do if no fraud is found, though there will be some quiet rumblings in the background (as there was in Democrat circles about Trump's election). If/when he does go, these mobs will fade away and become more dangerous. A very few will not be convinced but who are they to attack if the state doesn't attack them? They'll pose and posture but nothing will come of it because they're nothing in the first place. A very few might take steps (another McVeigh for example) but those kinds of nutters will never be satisfied anyway. For the rest, the US right wing is great at local organisation, so you can expect them to be on school board elections, local politics etc etc, so the country will begin to swerve more to the right. The progressive side need to wake up and stay active too - winning the WH is just the beginning unless they want to be the christain equivalent of Iran.
The views expressed are my own, worth what you've paid for them, are not on behalf of anyone else and not those of any company I work for etc.

That is a real possibility. The country has been swinging in that direction for a long time now.

I am currently reading the BBC Washington Editor, John Sopel's book 'A Year at the Circus' about the Trump administration. It would be impossible to parody what went on because it is so ludicous anyway - it couldn't be made to look more ridiculous. Things like Trump getting up just after the start of an intelligence briefing to go and watch television instead. He has a description of Trump's first cabinet meeting but warns that readers may need anti-emetics to hand since the exercise in smarm from Trump's bunch of sycophants is really nausea inducing. The whole operation was totally disfunctional with no sense of direction or control. Quite a frightening read in many ways when you consider the power that the Tango Twitter Twat, AKA Trumpelthinskin has, fortunately shortly to be over.
