July Non-Diving Photographic Competition - Stay Home

Well we have been doing a lot of that recently no matter where in the world we are!

So the theme for July's non-diving photo competition is 'Stay Home'. What have you been doing? Have you taken up a new hobby? Busy with DIY, gardening, or cooking? Keeping the kids amused?

Capture a fond memory in a photo.

For me it was the birdies. Keeping up with the kestrels, watching the migration from my roof terrace. And taking up crochet. Here are some photos:

Only one surviving chick this year. She was reluctant to fly the nest. Usually the parents call noisily early in the morning and there is a commotion as the fledglings fly. I resorted to having a word with the youngster across from my balcony. Flapping my arms in encouragement. The next morning she just silently popped over to my balcony on her own. Spent over an hour hopping around happily until the parents arrived making a lot of noise.

Crocheting dream catchers, doileys, cushion decorations, and now working on an owl!

Looking forward to seeing your photos. Competition closes on 31st July 4 pm Cairo time. One entry per person please.

The garden has never looked so good and the long hot spell focused my attention on flowers and insect life, especially bees. I was also playing with the Tokina 10-17mm Fisheye zoom used extensively underwater but of which one well known underwater photographer said " it is difficult to find a use for this lens out of water." I beg to differ.
Evolution is great at solving problems. It's the methods that concern me.

Still not seeing Pete's photoes using firefox.
If I go to reply with quote and extract what is between the img tags and paste into a new window I can see it fine.
If I use crome it displays in the original post.

    Confused.

Pete is in Gozo, perhaps his posts have to have 14 days quarantine.

If God had meant us to breathe underwater, he would have given us larger bank balances.
Human beings were invented by water as a means of moving itself from one place to another.

I like it. A small carpet might improve the image even further! Never got the hang of layers myself.
