Is this normal? - Failed Login Notification on The Dive Forum

Just a heads up to the general membership, got this email yesterday from the Forum Admin I assume. First time it happened to me. Is this a usual thing?

"Dear cathal,

Someone has tried to log into your account on The Dive Forum with an incorrect password at least 5 times. This person has been prevented from attempting to login to your account for the next 15 minutes.

The person trying to log into your account had the following IP address: 80.233.36.209

Could it be an old device the kids were playing with?

From other forums I am on/have been on this is normal if someone/something has tried to log in several times.

The IP address is showing as being 3 Ireland, so if you aren't using that it would appear someone else was trying to log in to your account.

If you have tried to log in several times (or use an app to log in which has the wrong password), then it is likely nothing to worry about.

Not worried tbh, and a great service from the forum admin to notify me. Don’t think it was the kids tbh as they can’t stand anything diving related.
