Went for a country drive late afternoon* today. Very quiet, especially noticable around a beauty spot that's normally rammed with people. Saw more pheasants than people. On a B-road we couldn't work out what was running across the road, only to discover it was a radio controlled car being driven by a dad and his lad. Obviously exceedingly quiet!
* Had to pick up a laptop from a colleague
Lots out walking yesterday afternoon. Very little traffic though. Most people are being sensible. The industrial estate is about 50% of normal this morning. The sheet metal place is open as usual with a full car park. Some places that are really not essential in any sense of the word open too.
The one thing I have noticed is an awful lot of twats that think as there are no coppers or speed vans that it is open season on driving like a prat. Overtaken by a double cab knob this morning, we were bang on 30 in a 30. I like to go fast, always have, always had a sportsbike, but now is not the time, the emergency services have enough to do and no one can say they were held up in traffic and need to make time up.
