    But just in case.....

Are you nuts? Did you look at the statistics in any sort of detail?

    For the UK

    Friday : 798
    Saturday : 1140
    Sunday : 1391
    Yesterday :1543
    Today : 1950

So more than doubled since Friday, just 4 days ago. If it keeps increasing at that rate then there'll be 128,000 confirmed cases by Easter.

Don't think that'll happen? Look at the incidence in the UK, compare it to Italy. We're on pretty much the same rate of increase, just a few weeks behind. They had an increase of over 3500 today.... And they're on full lock down.

For the record : I'm not worried about the risk to me. I'm worried about my parents, in laws, other people both known and unknown that don't enjoy the same level of health.

How about your nearest and dearest, would you buy a lottery ticket that has 2 to 1 chance of you winning a few hundred million and one of them being snatched away from you?
That is not the exponential increase weíve been told will happen.

Christ, God forbid a really nasty virus hits us. The @@@@ing stupid reaction to this has told the new age terrorists where to focus their attention .

Our 24 hour asda was shut at 4am last night ...

Quite a few are now closing overnight to restock

    Thatís sensible.

The first hour of trading should only be for those over 60.

They've stopped testing and have no clue how many have it

    Their model suggests 55,000 today

    1 in every 1400 already

I'm not entirely convinced you understand what an exponential increase is.

It's basically when the rate of increase (or decrease) gets quicker and quicker.... As opposed to linear, where the rate of increase stays the same.

E.g if you grew one brain cell every day, ie 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 etc the rate of increase of brain cells would follow a linear path, the graph of T vs BC would be a straight line.

If you were to double your brain cells every day, eg 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 the rate of increase, far quicker, soon resulting in your head hurting, would be exponential, the graph of T vs BC would be curved upwards.

Go look at the graphs for confirmed cases.

    Or pregnant
    Or immuno compromised
    Or autistic

    Maybe

I'd prefer them to cancel all delivery slots and somehow make them available only to people in genuine need rather than first come first served

Not sure how you achieve that though

    Yep, get that.

I would suggest itís not happening, rather than Itís not being reported.

This government loves spreading fear and panic, so if it was the case you can be sure they would report it

So you reckon 55,000 - government who like to spread fear and panic say 2,000

    Hmm

I'm not sure what you're saying Darren?

That the amount of confirmed cases in the UK aren't growing exponentially? Look at the stats, they quite clearly show that they are.

That the stats are being over reported? Surely nobody would be daft enough to believe that!!!

Confirmed/tested cases is very different from total cases.
