    Storing tanks outside

Wife not happy about having numerous cylinders in the house, we don't have a garage so only option is garden.

Is there any issue with storing tanks outside? obviously ill get some sort of shed to encase them from rain etc.

Im more concerned about the cold

I store a lot of tanks outside in a wooden shed along with weights & fins, have for years and never been a problem.

If buying/making a new shed thouigh i'd strongly reccommend insulation, a ply lining and a tight door.
It's little extra cost and enables it to be used for other kit as well.

PS: also a good idea to have a raised plinth and not put them straight onto concrete etc.

My garden is tiny, I was looking at something really small like a coal bunker!

Or I could always chuck the mrs in the garden and keep the tanks inside

Bit of CLS timber and some shiplap then

Or just buy a Keter midi, they run out at around £80, but can get cheaper other brands for £60.
Also worth looking for this on Gumtree etc as they are plastic they often come up really cheap.

nothing is secure if its outside

    simple as that

I have one of these - "secure and convenient" apparently

Its used for storing fire wood in now

the big padlock hoops and big padlocks I fitted to them were still there long after the bike was gone ....

Security would be my main concern, that would be the case for any outbuilding.

All my kit other than stuff with batteries lives in the unheated garage outside.
I've never had any problem with this.
