Still diving, mostly instructing and will probably continue right through the winter. More layers and dry gloves.

You mean you've never dived under ice?
    Kids these days...

    Yes that is me.
    Helium, because I'm worth it.
Waterboarding at Guantanamo Bay sounded like a radical holiday opportunity until I looked it up.

I once dived under ice in a 5mm wetsuit in my younger mad days back in the 1960's when the club I was with used to do the police diving work - before the Police had their own diving teams. Of course that would never be allowed now by HSE but they were different days. It was looking for body in a lake, roped diving, zero viz in 10m of water. When we came up, the Police had mugs of Rum and coffee to warm us up. Unfortunately, my lips were so frozen that I couldn't form a seal on the cup and it just frizzled down my chin. I hate to think how close to hypothermia I was.

I currently have a cold but once that has buggered off completely I intend to get some Winter dives in. Calories don't count when cold water diving so you can eat more cheesy chips and other such goodies

The thought of mask clearing not good at these temps
Would shock the life out of me

Teaching through the winter, mask clearing is the first skill immediately after descent for trainees

I'm hoping for a December week in the Scottish West coast lochs if the van gets mended.
