    Current Stoney Conditions

I've got some trainees to take in for their first open water dives. I wondered if anyone could give me the heads up on what the conditions at Stoney are like at present. On their website, they describe viz as being very good down to 20m and poor beneath that - whatever that means!

I may be wrong but I don't think there is any current in Stony Cove.
    Paul.
If God had meant us to breathe underwater, he would have given us larger bank balances.
Human beings were invented by water as a means of moving itself from one place to another.

I was there Monday. Water is still about 15C, viz is excellent from the surface down to 18m. By excellent, I could clearly see the surface ripples from 14m down. At 18m, there is a visible shitocline and the viz is about 1-2m below that though still about 15C. No idea about deeper than 22m because the commie boys were blowing stuff up on the hydrobox so we weren't allowed to go close to it.

I think they weren't using enough explosives!!! It was weird conditions though - like mist at times at 20m ish, with bands and layers making it difficult to see what was ahead of us.
