No, the only thing I've got on my belt apart from hip D-rings is my trilobyte, which doubles up as a belt-end tidy. Torch and camera each go on a wrist and everything else is in my cargo pockets. The Apeks gadget really did solve a problem - for me, anyway.

The knife is maybe on the large side.

"I'm unable to present a convincing argument, so I'll just give up and make it personal" eh Tel?

How about this then: our centre doesn't have the student retention problem yours has. Actually, we have the reverse problem - we are busier with continuing education courses than we are with new diver courses and the majority of divers we train come back and stay with us, going on doing more things be that courses or club membership and diving. Some would say that's lucky, others call it a different business model or different market conditions. So your comment that "The reality of entry level is the vast majority will do a single course at the one center and either never do a course again or move on to another center. Yes enough will like that outfit and hang around, but they are in the minority" is incorrect in our case. You have done your usual trick and assumed that everyone else is exactly the same as your club is, dives exactly as you do because it is the best way etc. which is an incorrect assumption. If you choose to call that a personal attack, well that's up to you. Meanwhile, you might also ask yourself what the reasons are they don't come back to you, just as we're trying to work out how to attract more total novice divers... I'm sure there's some learning for you there, should you choose to accept that you (and your model) are no more perfect than we are. Either way, this is off topic.

It's for use under glass bottomed boats when you leap on your buddy and tumble over and over in a Bond-style battle, before one of you dying immediately when your mask gets pulled off.

Disclaimer, I am a BSAC diver. I was quite disappointed the BSAC / hog loop thing didnít get going , I hoped this thread would see me through winter.
