Taz, could you talk to your two new prospective employers and get one of them to agree to a start in three months time but with the promise that if you can get away earlier you will start earlier? Then go to your current employer and see what can be done. Either way you'll be covered.

Sort of did that...

So I bit the bullet and made a few phone calls over the weekend stating my intentions and as of now they have been fully supportive
because I have gone down the route of My family and my health must be the priority. Although there were some hummings and errrings for
the most part it was an amicable conversation and they can only really support me.

Official letter went in today so see what the official response is once the senior management know of the situation.

Nothing guaranteed but seem hopeful that it has been accepted as it is and they are not kicking up a fuss.
