Running out of H in Malta heDS UP.

I'm told that a lot of tech ctrs on Malta and Gozo are having problems obtaining Helium at the moment with little prospect of more till mid to late October. This may be old news and the situation may be being resolved but I suggest you check with your dive ctre before making the journey.

On the CCR Explorers group of Facebook, there is major issues in the states too, with centres being told, by their suppliers they won't be getting anymore, it's all reserved for more industrial users.

I wonder if there are issues in other parts of EU too??

Then you get industrial usage / research places that use so much that no one even bothers to account for it.

Rememeber anything you read on the internet was probably written by some guy sitting at home in his underpants! Including this !!

There has been a worldwide shortage for a few years. One of our MRI scanners had a spontaneous quench last year (when the temperature in the magnet rises and the Helium boils off rapidly) Siemens used all the UK supplies available and had to import from Europe just to get the magnet back on line.
