One of my favourite moments in diving was with a regular dive buddy who just couldn't use his pee valve. The dive he finally managed to, I honestly thought he was toxing or having a fit, until he stopped and reported (via hand signals) that he had finally managed to pee underwater!

Just catching up on this new dry suit. Anyone any experience with the stock plastic zip that it comes with? Keep it or use the traditional brass one?

Plastic zips are nice and easy to use but seem to last a couple of years of hard diving. Metal ones are less easy but last longer. Canít say I noticed the difference in the water. I changed the zip on my suit from metal to plastic then back to metal when the plastic one started leaking.

If you look at the YKK website they are really designed and made for surface dry suits not diving dry suits.

A friend has an O3 membrane with plastic zips bought it at the 2018 Birmingham show and has no leaks or problems. He has the plastic zip I guess he has done over a 100 dives in it.
Another friend different make of suit plastic zip now no good suits about 4 years old and 350 dives.

Nope, just two dives but very happy with it so far, which is not much to go by tbh. The suit arrived mid pandemic.
