    Apeks Yoke to Din adaptor

    Hi,
so I am getting fed up of dealing with making sure there are inserts available when I travel with my 20 year old Apeks A Clamp regs, has anyone used one of their adaptor kits (like the one linked to below), if so how easy was it?

    Thanks in advance,
    Barnaby

Iíve swapped back and forth A to Din, Din to A depending where Iím going and what cylinders are available.

they have a habit of untightening - suggest you torque it properly

Ring or narrow jaw spanner for the nut on the inside of the a clamp. Hex key for the DIN insert.

I’d have thought that a-clamp is available everywhere, it’s pretty standard, DIN is the one that’s a bit of the odd-bod in come places (US). If you like I can just post you a DIN insert and you can take your own with you (they are only a couple of quid each), i’ve don’t think i’ve Seen a DIN valve that you couldn’t convert with the simple donut (other than 300bar valves).

Most of the diving I have done recently has been at places that have DIN cylinders, and yes they all have the inserts but it has been a hassle find one with a decent o-ring etc. each time.

I have ordered the adaptor and can always swap back if going somewhere that mostly caters to Americans (which seem to be the only places that still use A-Clamp by default).

    jb2cool,
Thank you for the kind offer (the type of thing I have seen often on both here and in the past on the other place), but on this occasion I won't be taking you up on the offer.

Dived din converted apex’s for years, I just have a Din to A clamp adapter which just screws over the din if I need to use older type cylinder .
