Dive specialist Regaldive sold to The Natural Travel Collection

The Natural Travel Collection has bought diving specialist Regaldive from Explore Worldwide resulting in seven redundancies.

The company, which owns a portfolio of niche operators, including existing dive brand Dive Worldwide, has acquired the brand for an undisclosed sum.

Regaldive will now operate out of The Natural Travel Collection’s offices in Alresford, Hampshire, instead of Ely in Cambridgeshire.

Following a staff consultation on the relocation, one Regaldive employee is to move across to the new offices and seven roles have been made redundant.

I guess this is what happens when you only have a desk a chair and three employees with only a web site as the asset.
When of the three employees, one gets to double his salary to six figures in one year then triples his directors pension contribution.
All this when your parent group is in so much debt and want to hang you upside down and bash you in the nads repeatedly with a baseball bat Greek style.
Any chance you could consider taking a bus.

IIRC, they had already been bought out when we went on our most recent trip Eddie and the original staff were on notice... we only found out when we spoke to them after we got back.
The views expressed are my own, worth what you've paid for them, are not on behalf of anyone else and not those of any company I worked for etc.

          Following received from NTC:
Many thanks for your email. We understand your concern. Rest assured however that everything is will proceed as normal with your booking. The only change is a change of ATOL number under which your booking is protected; this is now 10544.
All those with future bookings were sent an email from the former owners of Regaldive informing them of the change of ownership. You will shortly also be receiving a letter from us by email giving you details of the change and answering a few questions that customers may have.

I did not receive an email from the old Regaldive. This annoyed me more than anything. All ok now it seems.
