Pros and Cons re Waterproof D1 Hybrid Drysuit.

Being an Aussie diver I have never bothered about a drysuit but as I get older, I'm feeling the cold more and more. I have the opportunity to purchase a near new Waterproof D1 Hybrid drysuit for half the price of a new one here in Australia. Research on the net has given me mixed reviews re the suit. Any of you guys care to weigh in with first hand experience? More than happy to hear both the good and the bad.

    Cheers

    Steve

Waterproof kit is usually decent. Looked at one of their suits (d9 or something? cordura one) for my partner recently but the sizes didn't suit unfortunately.

All depends on how well it fits you.

Cheers WFO. That was one of the commonly mentioned problems on the net, that the cut for off-the-rack suits seemed a little off. The price seems too good to knock back but with a 1400 km round trip needed to try it on, I'm trying to decide whether its worth the effort.

For the cost of a 1400km trip, I'd get the guy to post/send it to you. It fits, bargain. It doesn't, post it back.

    Simples.

    Got to be MUCH cheaper.

I love Waterproof and have 3 wetsuits - you do need to try them on beforehand!
