    freshwaterdiver website

Does anyone know what happened to the freshwaterdiver website.
It seems to have closed down.

Did it move or is it truly the end for this massively helpful resource?

Looks to have gone the way of many other freely hosted sites. Shame nobody got a backup before it went down

    "We're closing down TalkTalk Webspace
From 16th July we'll no longer offer Webspace, and we'll be shutting down our Webspace platform by the 10th August.
If you are the owner of this Webspace and want your content to remain on the web after this date, you'll need to move it to a new platform."

That's a shame, but at least the wayback machine has all the content captured on 22nd July this year.

The hosting for the site would be trivial, it must only be a few 10's of mb of static html. Anybody know the author - Mr Paul Renucci ? I'm sure we could get it re-hosted pretty easily if he's not interested.

I used to chat to him at the old place.
He gave up diving about 5 years ago IIRC.

I emailed Paul and got a reply after a couple of weeks. He still has a local copy of the site and is considering his options whether to re-host it somewhere. He has had an offer from someone setting up a hosting server for some free space.

Hopefully it may be resurrected at some point.
