Source for Kubi thick version gloves or tough alternatives?

After a year or so of having no bother at all I seem to keep ripping gloves on barnacles.

I see the tough option on kubi site but don't fancy paying £20 for some marigolds when the ones they sell for £10 are available for £3.

    Anyone got any suggestions?

How about good old Showa 660 (or 460 or 490) 'smurf gloves'. These are pretty tough and about £5 a pair.

Do remember to fit them the 'alternate' way though. If you fit them the standard Kubi way you'll get wet hands. Rather than folding the glove outwards exposing the inside you need to fold them inwards and you really need a 'helper ring' for that.

Will try it as per the vid. If it works I could 3d print some more of those rings for other size rings as well if anyone needs them

Becky (The person that made that video) has made countless prototype rings and now has 3D models for different sizes of Kubis as well as Santi SmartSeals. I think she's planning on printing and selling these at reasonable costs.

Well my 3d printed rings to put the smurf gloves on work a treat Nice and dry, hopefully a lot tougher.

Did some prototypes for the bigger ring size too just need a crash test dummy for them

I did see in otter that kubi has some tough gloves, they look a lot like normal marigolds that have been dipped in rhino liner or similar

Only difference is I'm using size 10 showas instead of 9

Interesting. The chap at Eurotek said you couldn'y fit Showa gloves.

                      Cheers

(although Becky's way doesnt involve the quaitities of Aquasure and Duct tape that my engineering solution would have !)

If you're looking for additional testers of your printed rings, I'd be happy to help out
                            I've got the 80mm rings
