    Scapa

We spent the weekdiving on the MV Karin. We managed 12 dives in between supporting the local hostelries. Most of us stayed in a house on the main street.
The diving is decent enough if you like wrecks I was quite pleased with all the fish.
It is a rather long drive from Bedfordshire to Thurso and Scrabster. Fortunately I have some jolly decent friends at Robin Hood Dive Club, who shared the journey, and allowed me to stay overnight at their home. water was around 13c and the viz was ...well watch the videos.

Guns on Mark Graf. Not included in the original dive videos as I had correct some faults with the files.

I don't know I had never been before. Others have dived in better viz at Scapa

Battleships are quite large sea going vessels. As a result they can block out a lot of the light when on the sea bed. Much of the video was taken below 30m hence being quite dark.

There was an algae\plankton bloom to 5m which cut out quite a bit of light, plus as Ian says they are large and fairly deep, video makes it look darker than it was though.

Vis was better last time I went on the battleships, but we had some really good vis on some of the cruisers this time, was a bit hit n miss really. Still awesome diving though.

Going by my past trips (two this time of year and one an Easter trip) I would say this comparable and good viz although it can be even better I have heard.
Why is it that with everything in life I always find a more difficult way of doing it (and not intentionally)
